Motion Physical Therapy
We are a locally owned private practice clinic committed to providing one on one treatment to all of our patients at every appointment. Treatment is delivered only by
licensed physical therapists and patients are treated for a full hour for every appointment. We do not double book patients or hand patients off to assistants, techs or trainers. We believe this treatment model is the most effective way to treat our patients, stay abreast of their progress and expedite their recovery.
- Gavin Morrison owner/therapist
A Personable Professional
Gavin treats patients one on one. He sees his patients for a whole hour
every time they come in. He doesn’t use assistants, aides or trainers. He
gets to know every patient and dedicates individual attention to their
treatment. His personal approach to physical therapy allows him to
thoroughly use all of his talents to determine the root cause of each
patient’s problem. His personable nature makes therapy fun and interesting
for all of his patients. “ The goal in my practice is to have people
remember physical therapy as an enjoyable experience.”
An Expert in Rehabilitation
Gavin obtained a degree in Physical Therapy from the University of
Washington and has pursued advanced education in specialties such as manual
therapy, foot and lower quadrant biomechanics and orthotic fabrication. He
is a skilled hands-on therapist with a thorough knowledge of therapeutic
functional exercise. He specializes in patient education both in the clinic
and out in the community so that his patients always understand the how and
why of their injury and their therapy.
A Diverse Background
Gavin spent 9 years in the music business in New York City writing music and
producing records. The bridge between these two careers was an ongoing
dedication to the martial art know as Tai Chi. Gavin’s interest in physical
therapy grew out of his application of Tai Chi to musculoskeletal problems.
Gavin currently teaches Tai Chi at the Wellspring School for Asian Body Work
in Boise. He also conducts fitness and injury prevention workshops for both
the US Forest Service and Boise Fire Departments. When Gavin is not in the
clinic he enjoys playing music, skiing, kiteboarding and spending time with
his wife and daughter.
